So I was a little bit bored and decided to poke around in Lydia’s Youtube feed. These two videos are tucked away in the plethora of uploads and her Liking Lizzie’s videos. And the selection of Lizzie videos is pretty humorous as well, featuring almost exclusively the videos she’s been in, a handful of the ones where Lizzie’s like “OH COME ON THERE IS NO WAY DARCY LIKES ME”, and, of course, the video in which George Wickham takes off his shirt.
The Popular video does have ties to Squaresville and makes mention of the Lizzie Bennet Diaries, but it also fits really well with Lydia’s character because it’s a freestyle rap about being popular. And the other one is a freaking Ke$ha video. They made Lydia a channel and decided to have her like a Ke$ha video. It just struck me as both hilarious and impressive that they’re THIS dedicated to the details. Not only selectively picking the Lizzie videos that she likes, but throwing in a few of these just because they’re the types of videos Lydia would actually like.
I genuinely doubt there’s another thing in the WORLD that’s quite like LBD.
Confession: I’m usually logged into Lydia’s channel instead of my own when we have episodes airing of the spin off, and while I’m very careful to delete my viewing history on there and not like things that aren’t LBD-related, I did leave these two on purpose, and I was wondering if it would be a thing anyone ever noticed haha
